24 emerging leaders meet to dream about the future

On Wednesday 27th January 2021, 24 emerging leaders between the ages of 18-25, gathered on Zoom to meet for the first time, share and receive input into their leadership potential in both church and professional roles.

The young people came from all four boroughs of the Black Country and will continue to meet once a month throughout 2021 to build relationships and received input and teaching from church leaders and theologians.

The gathering, called ‘Emerge’, is an initiative of Love Black Country’s Next Gen network. Emerge is specifically aimed at those aged 18-25, who may already be in a current leadership position, whether in church or in society, or they might be someone with great leadership potential.

Deb Chamberlain, LBC’s Next Gen Champion, was excited by the turn-out on the night.

“It was so encouraging to see so many brilliant young people connecting with one another and receiving quality input from seasoned Christian leaders. We’re really excited to see what emerges from them in the future.”

If you or someone you know might be suitable for Emerge, please email LBC’s Next Gen Champion Deb Chamberlain – Deb@loveblackcountry.org.uk. Deb will give you all the information you need about how to get involved.
