Walsall Walks – Good Friday 2021

Every year, churches around Walsall gather in the town centre to remember the events of Good Friday together and walk through the different parts of the story. This is called the Walsall Walk of Witness.

The Walk of Witness is organised by Walsall Town Centre Ministry and Love Walsall and, as such, means that a wide variety of different churches gather together each year as we find our common understanding of who we are as we remember the sacrifice that Jesus paid for us on the Cross.

Due to Covid restrictions, a physical walk through the town centre will not be possible again this year. However, just as we did in 2020, we have taken footage of the drama involving Jesus and the Roman soldiers from previous years and used that to create a virtual walk of witness for 2021, together with songs, readings, poetry, prayers and a short reflection.

This year’s video will go live on YouTube at 10am on Friday 2nd April. We encourage anyone who would normally take part in the physical Walk of Witness to tune in to watch the premier and join in the live chat, contributing your prayers and thoughts. If you’ve never joined in the Walk of Witness before, we’d love you to watch along too.
