Christmas Lunch Project 2021

This year will be our 6th Year of operating the Christmas Lunch Project and we will be aiming to serve 1000 families across Dudley , Birmingham, Sandwell and Wolverhampton this year.

In order to be successful we are reliant upon the partnership of churches and organisations to help us:

  1. Pack hampers on 20th, 21st and 22nd December.
  2. Deliver hampers on 23rd December
  3. Van drivers to help distribute food to hubs
  4. Acting as a hub for volunteers to collect Hampers for deliveries on the between noon and 2pm on 23rd December

All church partners will also have the opportunity to nominate families with children to be recipients of a hamper too.

Our Children’s packing event will be on Tuesday 21st December 1.00pm to 5.00pm. People can register using the volunteer link for 21st December and also need to send an email to thechristmaslunchproject3@gmail.com to  confirm the number of children they are bringing and their ages.  The event is not suitable for toddlers and babies.

Key dates for the project this year are as follows:

  1. 20th, 21st and 22nd December – Packing day  to be held at the main hub which is at all Nations Church  in Wolverhampton
  2. 23rd December – Delivery day – Drivers will be allocated a hub close to their home address and will be delivering in their local area.
  3. 11th or 18th December – Churches Mince Pie Marathon
  4. Online training for volunteer drivers Wednesday 15th December  at 10.00am 2.00pm and 6.00pm

All Hampers contain the ingredients to enable families to cook their own Christmas Lunch.  The contents are: A frozen Turkey, Potatoes, Carrots, Sprouts, Sage and Onion Stuffing mix, Cranberry Sauce, Gravy Mix, Chocolates, Mince pies, biscuits, Lemonade and Orange Juice.  All Hampers get delivered to the nominees home.  In addition to church nominations we receive nominations from schools, nurseries, The Youth Offending Services,  Social Services, Women’s Refuges and other organisations.
