Job Vacancy: Room Leader/Senior Practitioner – Carters Green Nursery

REF: NCG43 – Room Leader/ Senior Practitioner
37.5 Hours per week | £9.20 per hour | Fixed term until 16th July 2021 | Carters Green Nursery, West Bromwich

We are looking for a Room Leader for our 110 place setting based at the YMCA BCG Carters Green Day Nursery. You will help to provide a warm and welcoming environment within the Nursery where young children and their families can feel valued and obtain positive help and support.

Duties include but are not limited to:
• Providing and maintaining high quality education and care for children from birth to 5 years.
• Providing a warm and welcoming environment within the Nursery where young children and their families can feel valued and obtain positive help and support.
• Being part of the Nursery Senior Team you will provide leadership within the room on a daily basis. Setting a positive example to childcare practitioners, and working closely with the Childcare Manager and Senior Nursery Manager to ensure good practice.

You will be a qualified and efficient nursery practitioner, with a Level 3 qualification in childcare (or equivalent) ideally with experience of planning and implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and be motivated and passionate about working with children and their families, and strive to provide a safe and stimulating learning environment for children to grow and develop. You will lead a small dedicated team in planning, preparation and delivery of an effective programme of activities, using the EYFS and Every Child Matters outcomes.

The applicants must be able to respect the Christian Ethos of the YMCA and uphold its values.

The applicants must complete an enhanced DBS check before taking up the role.
