On Monday 16th March, the UK Government announced that all mass gatherings and all non-essential social contact should be avoided during the Coronavirus pandemic, in order to slow the spread of the virus and ease pressures on the NHS.
As a result, churches across the Black Country have started to close their doors and cease physical meetings.
Whilst many people may feel dismayed, this could actually be a huge opportunity for the Body of Christ in the Black Country to impact this region with the love and kindness of God. It has been preached many times that The Church is not a building. Now we’ve been given an opportunity to prove it.
This page is dedicated to bringing you good news stories of how churches and Christian organisations across the Black Country are responding creatively during the Corovavirus lock down. We hope that by sharing these stories, we can inspire you with practical ideas of how you too can be a light in your community during this unprecedented time.
The Black Country Church may well be physically dispersed or apart at this time, but we are still very much together.
