Job Vacancy: Giving Facilitator – Finance Team

To support our diocesan-wide Transforming Church vision Church of England Birmingham (CofEB) is seeking to recruit a Giving Facilitator. Across the CofEB family, our congregations and communities are making generous, positive, and diverse differences where they are, bringing hope and life. People & Places is our unfolding framework enabling capable leaders and sustainable congregations to live out our vision for “growing churches at the heart of each community”.

People and Places enables growth, recognising and equipping all God’s people to be capable disciples and leaders. It allows us to be fair and generous in our distribution of resources and for a sustainable future to be built for all the people and places of Church of England Birmingham.

We are seeking a creative, innovative parish focused individual who will support our churches and worshipping communities as they focus and grow our broad culture of generosity within their own context. This will include supporting individual parish contexts in generating increased giving to support their plans to sustain and grow mission for the long term. You will be working collaboratively with parishes alongside the CofEB Finance and Parish Mission Support teams as integral within our developing engagement with re-imagined sustainability and creative generosity.

You will be a member of a national network of colleagues across the CofE with mentoring and training support available from the National Giving Team.

Are you up for the challenge in this vibrant, intercultural city region?
If you are, we would love to talk to you.

We welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons, particularly from those who are currently underrepresented such as Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic groups.

Deadline for applications: 12pm Friday 15th January
Interview date: Wednesday 27th January

There are some great benefits too:
– A five-year fixed term contract
– Salary of £27,000
– 12% pension contributions and much more
