The Black Country Foodbank is looking to recruit to its Board of Trustees, to support on-going work and drive forward plans for the future.  

As a charity of over ten years, we’re now well established and working throughout the Black Country. Last year over 27,000 people accessed our emergency food provision services, including over 10,000 children.  We’d love to hear from anyone who gets excited about standing up and making a difference for each and every one of these members of our community. 

We are open to expressions of interest across a variety of backgrounds and experiences but would particularly welcome those with finance; legal; HR; Comms & engagement; Charity or IT experience.

 

We are not expecting you to know it all – but we’re hoping you’d like to join us on the journey of meeting need across the Black Country, contributing your skills, experience, contacts and passion along the way. 

The role is unpaid and will involve attending a minimum of one board meeting a quarter (evenings), and potentially one annual full day session on a weekend. Commitments over and above these are flexible and will be dictated by your capacity.  

Although the charity is founded on Christian values and faith-based, having a personal faith is not a pre-requisite, however respect of these values is a must.
