Reverse Advent Calandre

Christmas is an important time for Black Country Foodbank.
Despite winter’s ever-colder nights, rising fuel bills, and the pressure on families to give great gifts and prepare large meals, Christmas is also the time of year when we see incredible generosity and kindness. We are so thankful for the wonderful people, community groups, faith groups, and businesses who support their local community in times of need.

This Christmas, we’ve launched a Reverse Advent Calendar — a wonderful alternative to the traditional version. Instead of receiving a small gift or treat each day leading up to Christmas, participants gather items to donate to those in need. Everyone can take part! Why not take on the challenge as a church?

This autumn, we made a new video to explain Foodbank to children and young people — it’s great for all ages! Feel free to use the video on Sunday mornings, in groups, or at youth meetings. And if you’re running a Christmas collection, be sure to let us know — we can arrange to collect it.
