Responding to the Quiet Revival

An Evening for Church Leadership

Many of you will have seen the Sunday Express’s front page headlines published on the 27th July; ‘GLOBAL CRISIS SENDING GEN Z TO CHURCH’. The Express is one of many national news outlets reporting the spiritual shift taking place in our nation among Gen Z.

The Bible Society report that the number of Gen Z’s identifying as atheist is nearly half that of Gen X! With 62% of 18-24-year-olds declaring themselves ‘very or ‘fairly’ spiritual. Their spiritual hunger is driving bible sales among this group to at a new high as they look for answers as a ‘meaning crisis’ shakes Western culture. Atheism and secularism, once considered to be the rational view of most adults, no longer seems to carry the same weight or appeal.

Do we stand on the verge of a spiritual awakening?

If so how do we respond?

Church Leaders Evening

On the evening of the 6th October, we are delighted to have Tim Alford, National Director of Limitless and leader of the Limitless Festival join us to think through how we respond to this awakening.

As a strategist and youth ministry trainer, Tim brings years of experience working with churches across the UK to reach and disciple young people effectively. He also lectures at Regents Theological College and is a trusted voice at shaping youth ministry at a national level.

What will we do?

  • Inspire – On the night, Tim will share fresh insights and new data about the quiet revival and the hunger emerging among this age group.
  • Envision – With approximately 300,000 18-24 year-olds in the Black Country, what might the harvest look like?
  • Equip – We hope to walk away not just well informed but with practical ways of reaching these young people.

How will we do it?

Our aim is for this evening to be a way of engaging us all in exploring together what God is doing and think about how we partner with Him. There will be time for listening, discussion and questions.

Where and when?

This is for church leaders and their leadership teams.

  • Date – 6th October 2025
  • Location – Excel Church, Wolverhampton Street, Bilston, WV14 OLT.
  • Time – Refreshments will be available form 7.00pm and we will start at 7.30pm.
