Job Vacancies – KICK

KICK are a Christian charity that delivers chaplaincy, mentoring and sports coaching in schools and they are coming to the West Midlands in September.

There are a variety of positions available. Please check them out below and share them with anybody you know who are fully committed to our mission to transform young peoples lives with God’s love, through sport and support.

Director of Regional Development
Location: Midlands
Contract: Full Time
Closing Date: 10th May 2021
The purpose of this exciting new role will be to grow KICK’s work across schools, churches and communities across the country, focused on, but not limited to a specific Region (Midlands), in order to see our vision for a generation of young people within a generation of time realised. The Director of Regional Development will pioneer into new areas and manage branch managers and contribute to the strategic and spiritual direction of the charity. The role would have an eye on operational management to ensure that our service is delivered with excellence to our key stakeholders in schools, local churches and community partners as we deliver our mission to transform lives. This role will have oversight to ensure delivery of values driven sports coaching, mentoring and chaplaincy to learners.

KICK Fundraiser
Location: Flexible
Contract: Part Time
Closing Date: 20th April 2021
An opportunity to grow KICK’s work across schools, churches and communities across the country through generating funds through fundraising. The fundraiser will be responsible for seeking new opportunities of funds available and applicable to the work of KICK whilst also re-applying to on-going funding pots where KICK have previously been successful. The fundraiser will understand the importance of prioritisation and will be able to manage a variety of priorities. The Fundraiser may engage with grant-funders and/or major donors in collaboration with the Chief Executive Officer and be confident to speak of the work KICK deliver.

Branch Manager
Location: Midlands
Contract: Full Time
Closing Date: 28th May 2021
To pioneer KICK’s arrival and expansion into new regions to grow and develop KICK’s work within a new region. The Branch Manager will champion excellent relationship management of schools, church-based KICK Academies and key partners to build the work of KICK. The Branch Manager will be adaptable to promote KICK’s services to new schools and churches; and have the initiative and attitude to drive various tasks delegated to them. The Branch Manager will be responsible for line managing a team of coaches and be passionate about their learning and organisations development. The Branch Manager will lead by example in delivery of KICK services whether this be coaching, mentoring or chaplaincy within a school environment. The Branch Manager will set tone for high standards to other coaches and will have the ability and skills to deliver KICK services.

KICK Sports/Dance Coaches or Mentors
Location: London OR Midlands
Contract: Full Time/Part Time
Closing Date: On-going
To deliver KICK sessions in, but not limited to, schools and community projects. Coaches will be able to deliver effective and relevant sessions to young people to a high standard with an understanding of progression techniques. Coaches will have an understanding of the challenges that children and young people face and have the ability to motivate and inspire learners, whether this be in PE lessons or mentoring sessions. All coaches should be professional and have a knowledge of assessment methods in order to fulfil the needs of both KICK and schools. All coaches and mentors have a direct opportunity to live out our mission, to transform young people’s lives with God’s love through Sport and Support.

KICK Interns for our KICK Coaching School
Location: London
Contract: Full Time Internship
Closing Date: 18th June 2021
Our aspiration for the KICK Coaching School is that we will develop new sports ministers across the country who will be upskilled to make a difference in their local community. We want to both invest skills and knowledge in KICK Interns but also see them make a missional impact. We want to welcome Interns to KICK who will be a part of achieving KICK’s mission of “Transforming young people’s lives, with God’s love, through sport and support”. We look forward to seeing KICK Interns trained to enable young people develop their sporting/dance ability through progressive sessions and assessment of learner progress in schools, weekend KICK Academies and community projects. There will be further opportunities for KICK Interns to shadow experience professionals, develop new skills in office functions and specialist areas of interest. It is our desire that KICK Interns will grow in their relationship with God and thrive of missionaries as role models influencing their schools.
