Telephone Support Officer

UCB is looking to appoint a Telephone Support Officer to join our well-established and professional Supporter Care Team on a full-time, permanent basis.
If you’re someone who stays calm under pressure, enjoys working in a dynamic, service-driven environment, and takes pride in delivering a professional experience every time, this could be the role for you.

This is a primarily telephone-based role, supporting UCB’s day-to-day contact with supporters. You’ll respond to calls and enquiries, offer prayer and encouragement, process donations, and signpost supporters to appropriate services. Alongside your core phone work, you’ll also support a range of administrative and team tasks.
You’ll be joining the team during a period of positive change, including the introduction of a new CRM system. As part of this, you’ll be expected to take part in user testing and feedback to help shape the future of how we serve supporters. Full training will be provided.

The ideal candidate will:
• Be a gifted communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, particularly over the phone
• Have a heart for people and a passion for delivering great service
• Be confident using IT systems, with the ability to read and process information accurately
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail, good organisational and administrative skills
• Show a positive, can-do attitude and adapt well to a busy, fast-paced environment
• Work well both independently and as part of a close-knit, mission-driven team

If you bring warmth, care and reliability to your work—and you’re excited to contribute to a team that's growing and evolving—we’d love to hear from you.

The permanent site of operations following the completion of refurbishment will be located at UCB Operations Centre, 94 Westport Rd, Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent ST6 4JF. However, temporary accommodation is to be confirmed within the Stoke on Trent area.

Hybrid working, including working from home, may be available at the discretion of the Team Leader following successful training.

Closing date for applications: – Friday 15th August 2025 – noon

On-site Interviews: Tuesday 26th August 2025

Salary: £24,098 p.a. plus staff benefits. UCB's staff benefits include life assurance of 4x salary, healthcare cash plan, and matched pension contributions up to 6%
