
Chawn Hill Church is dynamic and active, looking to bring ‘God’s story and your story together’; for all those who engage with the Church. We continually seek to Discover more of God, live in God’s way as his Disciples and Declare His good news.
To enable us to achieve this we are looking for someone to implement the vision of Chawn by leading to further develop our work with young people aged 11-18 years (secondary school/college), both in and beyond the church, and to support our volunteer youth workers. We currently have a church youth program and a ministry to unchurched youth through clubs and venues that facilitate a safe place for young people to grow and develop in themselves and in their faith.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about our young people and about using their experience and giftings to lead young people to advance the Kingdom of God in their own life and beyond. To be successful in this role you musthave a proven track-record of effectively leading a youth ministry within a Christian/ church context including the management of qualified Youth Workers.
The role is full time (37.5 hours per week) and working hours are flexible by agreement, involving some evening and week-end working, typical of a busy church environment.
Salary range: £22,390 – £26,043 depending on experience and qualifications + pension benefits
