In February half term, 521 children from families across Dudley will be receiving food and activity parcels, delivered by churches all over the borough.
The Revive Project is an initiative which aims to support children who may otherwise go hungry during the school holidays without a free school meal.
Over 15 churches are involved alongside partnerships with several charities and organisations including Black Country Food Bank, Phase Trust, CHADD, Safe Families and Love Dudley.
The families involved were given vouchers from 21 Primary Schools in Dudley to sign up for the project. They will each receive a delivery on the Monday of half term which will include food for breakfast and lunch for the week (with a suggested menu) and also several arts and crafts activities including a baking activity.
Alongside the food and activity delivery, a special live-streamed holiday club, which is open to all churches and children across the Black Country, will be live-streamed on YouTube on Monday 15th February at 11am. All families signed up to the project will be encouraged to log on, where a fun-filled 45 minutes of games, music and the love of Jesus will be shared.
