Stourbridge Street Pastors Need You!
Are you looking for a fresh challenge? Do you want to do something in the wider community?
Stourbridge Street Pastors are looking for more people to join the team patrolling the streets on Saturday nights through to Sunday morning.
We are not asking you do this every week by the way, just 1 week in 4!
We’ve been out there since 2009, caring, listening & helping the people who come out to enjoy a good time but find it’s become a bad time instead.
If you like: –
* Demonstrating the unconditional love of God to others
* Being asked why you’re out on the streets at stupid o’clock in the morning because it gives you the opportunity to tell them it’s all part of following Jesus
* Making people aware that the church is alive’n’kicking & prepared to engage with them where they are
* Changing people’s perceptions of Christians & the Church
* Raising the profile of the church with the civic authorities
* Getting to know people from different churches & fostering church unity
* Having a blast
Then you’ll probably like being a Street Pastor.
