Job Vacancy: Children and Family Worker (PT)
Raglan Road Christian Church (RRCC) is an inner-city church based in the Cape Hill area of Smethwick in the West Midlands. We are currently in the process of recruiting a part-time Children and Family Worker for 15 hours per week providing flexibility on how those hours are worked
RRCC is located in a culturally diverse inner-city area and also supports nearby Smethwick Gospel Hall which is a church on the edge of a nearby retail park who are looking to be supported in terms of mission and church growth. Our church is currently in a season of transition working towards a relaunch in 2023 that will reflect our refreshed vision and values, acknowledge our work across two sites, and reflect our commitment to serving our community in Smethwick and in particular the Cape Hill area. Even though we are currently working though our vision and values we have identified a clear need to recruit a worker who can develop and nurture our growing children’s groups, connect with families engaged with the church and re-establish connections with families in our community.
We are able to offer a salary for the 15 hours of between £8,400 and £9,200 per annum (£21,000 to £23,000 pro rata) depending on qualifications and experience. The post will be initially on a six-month fixed term contract but is likely to be extended as the work grows.
