On Wednesday 3rd April, we called out to the Church of the Black Country to come and gather together to represent our region as One Body before the Lord. Over 140 of you responded – another incredible turn out! We heard from Pete Wright on behalf of Love Dudley about what God is doing with children and young people in the borough as well as his encounters representing the Black Country at the International Prayer Conference in Jakarta in January. We heard encouraging news about plans for investment into youth and children’s work in the borough of Sandwell from Love Sandwell’s Jon Grant and Laura Nott. Most importantly, we were able to pray together and share communion as a symbol of togetherness and oneness as the Body of Christ in the Black Country.
We urge you to be encouraged – whether you were able to make the breakfast or not – that our God is moving in the backwaters and hamlets of our region. As Love Black Country, we promise to continue to do all we can to open up spaces that allow us to stand together as a representation of the Black Country Church and trust that through our unity, God will “command a blessing and life forevermore” in this quirky, diverse and wonderful place we call home.

We would love to see you there.
