Raising awareness of modern slavery in lockdown

During lockdown, Transforming Communities Together have developed a number of online resources for raising awareness of Modern Slavery.

Some of this content is deliberately Christian, helping people see tackling Modern Slavery as part of their everyday faith and discipleship journey.

Every Monday, Debbie Huxton, TCT’s Modern Slavery Campaigner, is going to produce a short video to sharing information on Modern Slavery as part of the #ModernSlaveryMondays initiative.

Debbie says about her work:

“Even though we are hidden in our homes, modern slavery continues to be hidden in plain sight and at this unusual time the plight of those enslaved remains the same, God’s mission remains unchanged. ‘We are to set the captives free’ and we want to continue to highlight this and encourage one another that together, whatever circumstance we find ourselves in, we can change the narrative from one of indifference to making a difference.”
