Job Vacancy: Assistant Counselling Centre Manager

Salary: £25,000 per annum pro rata (Dependant on Experience)
Hours: 25 hours a week (Monday-Thursday)
Location: Dudley
Reporting to: Centre manager Lizzie Hayes and the board of trustees
Responsible for: Management of the centre, counselling, community hub and café services as well as volunteers.
Contract type: Fixed term for 24 months with the possibility of extension

Role summary:
The Lighthouse Centre is a Dudley based charity run community hub, café and counselling centre. The services are strongly linked to the ministry of Dudley Community Church.

Our counselling services have been running for 14 years and we are a well-established and locally recognised service that provides support for Dudley and the wider area. We also provide counselling training placements to trainees on accredited counselling diplomas as well as providing a community hub within our lighthouse café. We are recruiting an assistant centre manager to assist with the coordination, development and expansion of our counselling services and Hub/ Cafe services. This is a senior management role in a thriving organization and requires an experienced practitioner. It is essential that the candidate has experience of integrative or person-centred counselling as well as management and experience working in an organisational setting. The right candidate will also be willing to embrace as well as develop a broad range of counselling models and will be responsible for a small caseload of complex cases however, they will spend much of their time managing the service as well as mentoring and supervising trainees and counsellors.

To be successful in this role the candidate will need to demonstrate a high level of professionalism, management and leadership skills. They will also need to build strong relationships with the centre manager, trustees and office staff as they will be liaising closely with these individuals.
