Job vacancy: COMMUNITY MISSIONER – CRADLEY HEATH COMMUNITY LINK

Will you join us in sharing the good news of Jesus’ love across the Black Country?

Cradley Heath Community Link is in an exciting new season; a place of creativity and re-creation, where people can find support with many issues and join in exciting events and activities.

We are looking for a Community Missioner who will build upon the fantastic work that is already happening and replicate it across the Brierley Hill Team Parish. The post-holder will be the key player in growing new worshipping communities. The parish is one of the most deprived in the country and for the right person, the joy of bringing more people to the transforming power of knowing Jesus will be an amazing opportunity.  Together with our volunteer manager, you will enjoy:

  • managing volunteers, working with project users, management of the site and sharing in oversight of the project with the trustees
  • replicating our community projects within the Brierley Hill Team Parish
  • nurturing leaders and helpers to run and support new worshipping community activities

You will need experience of working with local communities and of nurturing the discipleship and growth in faith of individuals, together with recent experience of project work within a team setting in a community organisation. If you are a resilient person who can demonstrate a desire to empower others that will be of real advantage as will a knowledge of  current trends in mission & evangelism.

Salary:                 £28,256 per annum (or pro rata) plus pension

Hours:                 37.5 hours per week over 5 flexible days; job share considered, please talk to us about the working hours that would benefit you! For an informal discussion around expectations call Paul Latham on 07815 596760
