25 hours per week | £9.00 per hour | Fixed Term Contract until 31stMarch 2025 | The Glebe Centre, Walsall
We are looking to appoint a dynamic individual to join the team at The Glebe Centre, which will support individuals with complex needs, including homelessness, and drug and alcohol abuse.
The Glebe Centre is a multi-functional hub from where a variety of services are delivered that seek to provide support to homeless and temporarily housed adults in Walsall experiencing additional issues that make them vulnerable.
- You will be an organised, skilled and committed individual with experience of working in an environment that serves the public.
- You will be required to plan, organise and manage the daily catering arrangements, including stock control and rotation, for service users who access day centre provision delivered by YMCA.
- You will have experience of preparing, cooking and serving meals and will have solid understanding of food hygiene standards and requirements.
- You will plan, prepare and deliver Cook and Eat sessions with service users to engage and support them in the development of their independent living skills.
As this role involves the provision of food services for vulnerable adults, a minimum Level 2 in Food Safety and Hygiene for Catering Certificate, and a proven track record of the application of the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point approach, is required.
The applicant must complete an enhanced DBS check before taking up the role.
