Job Vacancy: Facilities Maintenance Technician

Having well maintained and functioning buildings cared for and conserved by friendly enthusiastic staff preserves a good impression and upholds our reputation for outstanding customer service.

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician you will have excellent customer service skills with the initiative to exceed expectations. You will be a skilled maintenance and repairs worker with the experience and understanding of what is required to execute maintenance and repairs across two very diverse buildings, one of which is in a conservation area. A working knowledge of plumbing, joinery or other associated trades would be advantageous. You will also require a full driving licence as transport requests are an essential part of the role.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and self-motivated, who will take pleasure in their work and delights in offering a service to others. If you have the necessary attitude as well as aptitude then any additional training will be provided.

This position is based at our site in Hanchurch Lane, Stoke on Trent ST4 8RY but it will be necessary to travel to our site in Westport Road, Burslem, Stoke on Trent ST6 4JF as workload dictates.

Salary: £19,920 – £20,580 per annum (depending on skill and experience) plus staff benefits. UCB’s staff benefits include life assurance of 4x salary, healthcare cash plan, and matched pension contributions up to 6%
