Job Vacancy – Youth and Children’s Minister

Top Church, Dudley is in an exciting new season. Designated as a resourcing church, in the next 5 years it will become an active and vibrant Anglican church, situated in the centre of Dudley with an average attendance of 250 – being a blessing to the local community and a resource to other churches.

We are on a mission to enable Dudley to experience life in all its fullness as Jesus promised.  The role of the Youth and Children’s Minister is front and central to this and we are looking for someone who will join this great adventure we are on!

You will have a passion to see the young people reach their God given potential and your vision will be for the young people of Dudley, one of the most deprived parishes in the UK, to experience life in all its fullness as Jesus promises.

You will be a highly motivated leader and as we are starting from ‘scratch’ you will need to be determined, creative, strategic, imaginative and tenacious. You will be excited about being part of a church plant, working in a team and be ‘up for an adventure’!  A degree of flexibility and maturity will be required in order to grow with, and develop the role, as the demands and opportunities of the church evolve.

Initially, the role will involve ‘hands on’ ministry with both our children and youth. It is anticipated that, in time, you will build and develop other leaders and a wider children’s and youth team. With this in mind, the role will become one of a team leader/facilitator. We believe there is also potential for this role to become a ‘consultancy’ one, as we seek to enable other churches to develop their ministry to youth and children.

Application forms and further details are available from: www.cofe-worcester.org.uk/vacancies or email: admin@topchurch.co.uk

Closing date: noon on 1st May 2019 • First round interviews will be held on Thursday 16th May 2019 • Successful candidates will be invited to a second round on Sunday 19th May.

This is a full-time post of 37.5 hours per week (incl: Sundays and some evenings)

Salary: £25,000 per annum plus pension contributions

This post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.

Due to the occupational requirement of the role the post holder will be a practising Christian. The Dudley Resourcing Churches Trust has charitable status. To arrange an informal chat with Rev’d James Treasure, the Resourcing Church Leader, please email james@topchurch.co.uk
