A new support service has just launched in the Midlands – Paws Protect, a specialist cat fostering service for anyone fleeing domestic abuse. As many refuges are unable to accept pets, this service offers a lifeline to people who are taking experiencing domestic abuse and want to ensure their pet will be safe too.
To support the launch of Paws Protect in the Midlands, the team are now looking for volunteers to open up their hearts and homes to cats in need. Fostering a cat is a great opportunity to enjoy the company of furry friend but without the cost involved or the long term commitment, whilst also knowing that you’re supporting a survivor to get to safety. Not only that, 96% of Paws Protect volunteers say that fostering a cat has had a positive impact on their mental health and wellbeing.

Please note: we do ask that our foster carers have no free roaming pets in their home (such as cats or dogs).
