We are looking for some new trustees to join the team at Street Teams.
Street Teams was established in 1994, as an outreach project of Walsall Community Church supporting women and young people suffering abuse through prostitution. Through this work, it emerged that many women had been coerced into the sex industry as children and as a consequence, Street Teams began to concentrate its activities on supporting children and young people at risk of, and affected by sexual exploitation.
The team of 13 specialist social and support workers, headed by CEO Helen Matthews delivers practical grass roots support to around 200 people a year, as well as education and prevention programmes to over 7,000 school children & pupil referral units and training sessions to 2,000 professionals, parents and volunteers.
