West Midlands Trauma Informed Coalition: RESET Event

If you are a leader working within the West Midlands, you are invited to an exciting free event!

As someone influencing systems and services in the West Midlands, you can join representatives from across the West Midlands Public Sector for this free 4-hour Trauma Informed Coalition RESET Event (Lunch included!).

In 2022, the West Midland’s Combined Authority, Office of the Police Crime Commissioner and Barnardo’s, alongside partners representing Policing, Fire Service, Probation, Local Authorities, Faith-Based organisations, Health, Education and Third sectors embarked on the task of developing a region-wide vision and programme to support the West Midlands to become trauma informed.

Since then, EXCITING things have been happening including:

• The launch of the West Midlands Trauma Informed Coalition
• A collaborative Design Sprint
• A Regional Definition of Trauma Informed Practice
• The commissioning of a Learning and Development Framework
• The launch of a Community of Practice
• The commissioning of a Cost and Benefit Analysis for the West Midlands Region

On the 10th of May, as a Coalition, we will be hosting RESET. Senior leaders from across West Midlands will come together in central Birmingham to regroup and re-energise the aim to see a trauma informed, psychologically safe West Midlands. Local
Together, we will hear updates on the innovative work that is being undertaken, be encouraged through the learning journeys of others, and hearing more about how to get involved and keep connected!

Contributors include:

• The West Midlands Combined Authority
• Care Knowledge
• Dr Alex Chard
• The West Midlands Violence Reduction Partnership
• Cherished
• Birmingham Children’s Trust
• Barnardo’s
