2018 saw a significant step up in the appeal, representation and momentum at our four Big LBC Breakfasts. We have been encouraged by the sense of purpose generated through the releasing of Deb Chamberlain as our new LBC Next Gen Champion. At our final Big Breakfast of the year in October, we were at the hotel’s capacity as we listened to Deb share her heart for reaching the next generation in our region and joined together to pray for the thousands of children and young people in our villages, towns and city.
2019 has started in a similar way. At our Big LBC Breakfast in January, over 150 gathered again and were inspired to reflect on how our individual pursuit of the Lord is linked to our impact and pursuit of the Next Generation in our region.
We have sensed for some time that the Lord is doing something in mobilising His Body to reach out to children, young people and the families of which they are part. In November 2018, our brilliant LBC Families Champion Sam Knight was part of organising an event to appreciate those who foster and adopt in our region and encourage others to support them in the role they play and maybe even follow their lead. We were thrilled to see over 100 people turn out for this event, with many signing up to explore the possibility of welcoming vulnerable children and young people into their own homes, families and churches. Since then, a 6-week Foundations Course, exploring Adoption and Fostering from a biblical perspective, was run by LBC Families, enabling Christians to consider further whether Adoption and Fostering may be what God is calling them to.
God’s heart is for family.
At our second Big Breakfast of 2019 on Wednesday 3rd April, we invite you to join and stand with us as we explore how the united Body Of Christ, the Black Country Church, can seek to further impact an entire generation for the Kingdom. We plan to share more of what we sense The Lord is saying and what we hope to see happening in 2019.
We encourage you to book in as soon as you can. Last time, we had a last-minute rush and were sadly having to turn people away, so please book your seat early this time by clicking here BELOW.
